Amber Alert: Missing Central Texas Tot Found

BeyondMissing.com

Update: Authorities say Jaelyn Johnson has been found safe and is back in the custody of her guardians.

Original Story (Aug. 14, 5:57 a.m.): Police in Copperas Cove, TX – just west of Killeen – have issued an Amber Alert for a missing toddler.

Jaelyn Gucciana Johnson is almost 3 years-old. She’s black and has black hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 40 pounds.

Police say she was taken from her grandparent’s house last week by Shemeka Johnson – a woman police believe is a heavy drug user. Shemeka is also black. She’s about 5'4" and weighs around 165 pounds.

Police aren’t sure if Shemeka still has Jaelyn. Shemeka last told Jaelyn’s grandparents that Jaelyn was no longer in her care and that she was shutting off her cell phone service so that she could not be tracked.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Jaelyn or Shemeka, call police at (254) 547-8222 or call 911.
