Today marks the final regular meeting of the Austin City Council under the at-large system with seven council members and the mayor.
While it's the council's last day, members certainly aren't taking the day off. The council agenda has a whopping 231 items and will likely stretch on long into the night, as they often do. So far, they've passed items that will install dimmable LED lights along Sixth Street, require landlords to accept Section 8 housing vouchers and even a resolution to bring autonomous cars to Austin.
