KUT News Wins Six Regional Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association announced yesterday that KUT News won six Regional Murrow awards. It's the largest number of Regional Murrows ever bestowed upon our newsroom. Here's some background on the awards from RTDNA:

This year RTDNA judges awarded 600 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards in 14 categories, including Overall Excellence, Breaking News, Investigative Reporting, and Website. Awards are broken up by medium (radio, television, online) and by market size (small and large.) RTDNA received more than 3,000 entries during the 2011 awards season, eclipsing 2010 by over 300 entries.
