Updated at Friday, May 20: A local photographer who was trying to identify the couple he photographed in this picture has successfully tracked down the couple.

In a post on his website, Michael Cummings explains how he happened upon the couple shortly after their romantic engagement on Mount Bonnell, and took a breathtaking photograph.

We found them. The power of social is amazing, and this is just one small example of something that probably would not have been possible otherwise. I am giving Tim and Nadia an 11×14 print of this special moment for allowing me an incredible experience finding them and having the amazing photo that was as much their influence as mine.

KTBC, the local Fox TV affiliate, also did a story on Cummings' quest. A friend of Tim and Nadia saw a promo for the piece and called their friends. Here is that Fox 7 story.

Thursday: A local photographer took this picture of a man and woman on May 4 on Mount Bonnell, just after they got engaged, and now he’s trying to track them down to give them a copy of it.

“I didn’t really want to interrupt them at all,” Michael Cummings told KUT News. “I didn’t want to promise them a photo that [might not have] come out really well. But I’ve gotten a lot of positive reviews and I think they would really like to have it.”

Cummings, a 27-year-old professional photographer, said he was on Mount Bonnell taking pictures on May 4 when he happened upon the happy couple.

“The table was set up with her name on it and then I heard them talking," he said. "I got there after he had asked the question, but they were talking about how they were changing their relationship status on Facebook and getting a lot of comments,” Cummings said.

If you know who the people are, you can have them email Cummings at Michael@dreaminpictures.com.
