Lawrence Lessig Says Money Can Corrupt Politics

Political activist and Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig was in Austin this week and delivered a keynote speech at the University of Texas on the corrupting influence of money on politics. We caught up with him yesterday afternoon outside KUT Studios. Lessig is the director of Harvard's Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, a Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and the founder of Creative Commons.

Nathan Bernier is the transportation reporter at KUT. He covers the big projects that are reshaping how we get around Austin, like the I-35 overhaul, the airport's rapid growth and the multibillion-dollar transit expansion Project Connect. He also focuses on the daily changes that affect how we walk, bike and drive around the city. Got a tip? Email him at nbernier@kut.org. Follow him on X @KUTnathan.
