In New Web Ad, Perry Touts New Hampshire

From the Texas Tribune:

After taking his Lone Star swagger 2,000 miles east to New Hampshire last week, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry released a new web ad on Sunday celebrating the Granite State's independence.

The ad — which was produced by RickPAC, Perry's federal political action committee — was obtained by the New Hampshire Journal, which called the video the "first campaign-style digital ad of the 2016 cycle."

“We will be there standing up for freedom, no matter where it is — economically, militarily,” Perry tells a town hall audience in the minute-long ad. “And if we have a Congress and a president that respect that, then the greatest years of America are in front of us.”

The ad is the latest less-than-subtle hint from Perry that he'll soon announce his intent to run for the White House next year after his failed 2012 bid.

“This ad illustrates his commitment to New Hampshire, his respect for the New Hampshire first-in-the-nation primary and what it takes to win here,” Michael Dennehy, a Perry adviser in New Hampshire, told the Journal. “This is something Granite Staters have never seen from Rick Perry before.”
