Shawn Hood defeated Lisa King in the runoff election Tuesday and will take the vacant District 2 seat on the Georgetown City Council.
Hood is a longtime Williamson County resident and owns an architectural design practice in downtown Georgetown.
He spoke toKUTabout his goals as a council member, particularly focusing on mobility and infrastructure issues and expressing his hopes to overcome partisanship.
