The recovery effort continues in West, where a fertilizer plant explosion killed 15 people last month and destroyed dozens of homes.

At least 350 homes suffered at least some damage. But there is a way that you can help the people of West, and it involves eating. We spoke about Austin Bakes with CultureMap food editor Jessica Dupuy.

Through this website, Austinbakes.com, that’s kind of a blog right now that they’ve created, they’re accepting donations through that website that go through Americare, which is a national nonprofit that kind of helps facilitate that sort of thing. The bake sale itself will happen this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at eight different locations across Austin.
