The 2025 Texas Book Festival is Nov. 8–9 at the Texas Capitol — and some of your favorite public radio journalists will be there. The 30th annual festival features author talks, panels, book signings, kids’ activities, and more — with local public radio voices moderating conversations that connect Texans through the power of words and ideas.

Accent Unmuted is a live storytelling event that amplifies immigrant voices often left out of the spotlight. Hosted in Studio 1A, this curated evening features funny, moving and unforgettable stories — all told with accents. It’s a celebration of identity, authenticity and who gets to hold the mic.

KUT News debuts Austin Signal, a daily local news magazine and podcast and launching Oct. 6. Blending trusted journalism with Austin’s culture, the 30-minute weekday program covers top stories, music, arts, and more – airing on KUT 90.5 and streaming at KUT.org and major podcast platforms.
